Vespa Gear Box Shim Output Shaft Thrust Washer by SIP 2.3mm - 20322000

These output shaft spacers help keep the play between the gear cogs (known as the end float) to a minimum to help the gears engage cleanly.
These are made of spring-grade CK75 tempered steel alloy and are black-zinc plated and parallel honed to 2/100mm making them very accurate.
The part number and thickness grade are laser etched on each unit enabling easy identification.

The end float distance of your output shaft assembly should be between 0.15mm and 0.40mm when it is newly put together. If you are checking it during a major service it should be under 0.5mm otherwise you will require new (thicker) spacers. 

Do not forget to order a new cruciform, selector rod and fresh gear box oil to complete the job properly.
